Life Skills and Extracurricular activities take place at the After-School Clubs and Pebbles Academy. Pebbles sources external service providers and volunteers who can offer the learners a wide range of extra curricular and sporting activities. Through this, Pebbles provides learners with opportunities to develop their physical, social and emotional wellbeing
Learners who are based at the Pebbles After-School Clubs and Pebbles Academy participate in a number of sporting and extracurricular activities depending on volunteers and service providers available at specific locations. Activities include football, rugby, netball, surfing, marimba band, rope skipping and choir and recorder lessons.
Exposing the learners to new and exciting activities keeps them engaged, and active and improves their self-confidence.
The Pebbles Ambassadors are a group of learners voted and selected each year by their teachers and peers to be Pebbles Ambassadors. These young adults each represent their farm and After-School Club for the entire year. Pebbles hosts leadership camps, outings and workshops throughout the year for the ambassadors. The aim of this initiative is to equip them with the necessary tools to develop positive social and emotional skills. As well as to equip learners with life skills and resources to develop positive skills, this includes good values, attitudes and principles.
