The Pebbles Project Trust seeks to employ a Admin Assistant and Driver to be based in Citrusdal.

Requirements●       Code 8 or 10 Driving License
●       Good admin and organisation skills
●       Must be computer literate
●       Must speak, read, write and understand Afrikaans and English
●       Working hours are Monday to Wednesday, from 08h00 – 17h00 and every second Friday of the month, from 08h00 – 17h00
●       Will be required to do heavy lifting at times.

Purpose of Position
To deliver Pebbles Kitchen meals and produce to the various centres in Citrusdal.


Daily Duties
● To deliver meals, milk, fruit and other groceries needed to various ECD and ASC centres based in Citrusdal.
● To deliver and collect kitchen equipment when needed.
● To communicate with the Pebbles Kitchen Manager of any quality or quantity issues that might arise.
● To order weekly and monthly food supplies from suppliers.
● To retrieve, scan and verifying invoices for payment to the Pebbles Kitchen Manager.
● To use an online tracking system to report on how many meals and groceries were ordered, received, delivered and consumed during different time-frames for reports.
● To keep an online calendar of daily schedule and when next deliveries will take place.
● To find and liaise with local fruit suppliers for fresh nutritional fruit snacks during different seasons.
● To provide training and guidelines to new cooks and centres on following the correct protocols for receiving, storing and preparing food and snacks.
● To provide additional nutritional support to learners with special nutritional needs.
● To ensure that proper health and safety standards are adhered to in the centres’ kitchens and among staff.

Monitoring and Evaluation
● To monitor all nutritional stock at the Pebbles office and centres in Citrusdal to ensure that centres have enough food according to their available storage space.
● To liaise with cooks at the centres to monitor their stock usage according to learner attendance.
Administration
● To participate and assist the Citrusdal Team with miscellaneous administrative tasks, projects, site visits, open days and other events that take place throughout the year.
● To assist and support the fundraising team with social media posts, suggesting interesting content and providing relevant photos, and taking out donors and visitors to farms/facilities.
